What is Thrush and what can cause Thrush?

Yeast and bacteria are naturally present in your vagina. Thrush occurs when the level of Candida albicans increases.

• You have a weakened immune system

• Pregnancy (mainly during third trimester)

• When on your period

• When taking certain medicines and antibiotics

• If you have a medical condition like diabetes, HIV or if your under going  chemotherapy 

Thrush is not an STI or a serious condition and in most cases it can be treated easily and effectively. It is also normal and very common 3 in 4 women suffer from it at least once during their lifetime.

Warnings and Precautions

Do not use if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding  

• If you are taking terfenadine, cisapride, astemizole, pimozide, quinidine and erythromycin.

Speak to your GP or Pharmacist before use if:

• You are unsure whether you have thrush, or you have had these symptoms for the first time

• You have had thrush more than twice in the past 6 months

• You or your partner has ever had an STD

• You have had any disease or illness affecting the liver or kidneys, or have any unexplained jaundice

• You have heart problems, including heart rhythm problems

• You suffer from any other chronic disease or illness
