Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets pack size 60 helps treat symptoms of heart burn, acidity and other symptoms associated with indigestion.
Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets help give relief of symptoms resulting from the reflux of acid, bile and pepsin into the oesophagus. Acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion occurs due to the reflux of stomach contents in the oesophagus.
Indigestion is a common issue that most people deal with at some point. It happens after you eat or drink, as excess stomach acid causes irritation to your stomach lining and food pipe. This causes uncomfirtable and potentially embarrassing symptoms, including:
Heartburn or acid reflux
Feeling full
Bloating
Burping or farting (wind)
Feeling sick or being sick
Each tablet contains Sodium Alginate 500mg and Potassium Bicarbonate 100mg which are reflux supressants. They work by creating a protective layer over your stomach contents which then protect your stomach lining and oesophagus from irritation from excess stomach acid.
Symptoms tend to be more common after gastric surgery, as a result of hiatus hernia, during pregnancy, accompanying reflux oesophagitis, including symptoms of laryngopharyngeal reflux such as hoarseness and other voice disorders, sore throats and cough. It can also be used to treat the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux during concomitant treatment with or following withdrawal of acid suppressing therapy.
