What are Anusol Suppositories?

 

Anusol Suppositories gives soothing relief from discomfort of external and internal piles (haemorrhoids), anal itching and fissures.

Anusol Suppositories are designed to be used for piles in the rectum, helping to relieve the swelling, itch and irritation. 

 

What are the active ingredients in Anusol Suppositories?

 

Anusol suppositories contain three active ingredients.

These are:

  • Zinc oxide

  • Bismuth salts

  • Balsam Pero

These work to treat internal piles and relieve any swelling and itching you may feel. They are also antiseptic, which means they discourage bacteria from growing in the affected area.

 

Warnings and Precautions when using Anusol suppositories

  • Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Make sure to speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if:

  • You have an underlying medical problem

  • You are taking any other medicine or complementary therapy.

  • Your symptoms get worse or continue after taking this product, contact us or your doctor. 

  • You are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Ingredients:

 

Active ingredients: Each suppository contains Zinc oxide, Bismuth subgallate, Balsam peru and Bismuth oxide.

Also contains: Hard Fat, Kaolin light,  Titanium dioxide (E171), Miglyol 812.

 

 

How do I use Anusol Suppositories?

 

Directions:

 

Remove wrapper and gently insert one suppository into the rectum morning and night, and also after each bowel motion.

  • Wash your hands

  • Clean and dry the area before inserting

  • Wash your hands again after inserting

What are the side effects of Anusol Suppositories?

 

As with all medicines, Anusol suppositories can have side effects, but you may not get them yourself.

These side effects include:

  • Burning

  • Redness

  • Irritation

  • Itching

  • Pain
