Loratadine is an antihistamine which reduces the effects of histamines in your body. It helps overcome allergic reactions and symptoms of hay fever such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and a runny nose.

These tablets work by stopping the effect of the substance called histamine, which is produced in the body when you are allergic to something. This then relieves symptoms.

You are pregnant or breast feeding.
You are allergic to Loratadine or any of the other ingredients this medicine contains.
You have liver disease
You are scheduled to have any skin tests for allergies. (Do not take Loratadine Tablets for two days before having these tests). This is because it may affect the test results.
Active ingredient: Loratadine 10mg.
Other ingredients: Lactose, maize starch, pregelatinised starch and magnesium stearate.
Take ONE tablet daily.

Common side effects:
headache,
sleepiness, feeling tired, drowsiness,
fatigue,
nervousness,
stomach pain, diarrhea,
dry mouth, sore throat, hoarseness
eye redness, blurred vision,
nosebleeds
rash on skin
Speak to your GP if you experience serious side effects of loratadine including fast or uneven heart rate, feeling like you might pass out, jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes), or seizures (convulsions).
